At the October General Meeting, the Jack Fishbaugh and Abby Johnson Medical Funds were selected as the beneficiary of the 2009 FOP Fundraiser, which is to be held Saturday, March 7th, 2009 at the Carranor Club in Perrysburg.

Fundraiser Beneficiary Selected

Jack Fishbaugh is the son of Perrysburg graduates. This past July, just before his 8th birthday, he was diagnosed with Childhood Non-Hodgkin, Type B, Burkett-like Lymphoma. Jack does not currently reside in Perrysburg but was a member of Grace Church and all of his family members live in town.  Jack has had several surgeries, dialysis, and chemo.

Abby Johnson was diagnosed with cancer a while back. She had many complications with her 13 brain surgeries. These surgeries caused her to lose much of her vision, her speech has become difficult to understand  and her ability to walk has become severely compromised. Insurance is running out yet she requires much therapy. Abby is in junior high.

Proceeds from this year's event will help to offset medical costs for treatment.

Other Events to benefit 2009 Fundraiser

Jason Chan, owner of McDonald's on Rt. 20 in Perrysburg, is hosting a fundraiser on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2009.  A portion of proceeds from the lunchtime rush will be donated to the this years recipients.  So, bring the kids for a happy meal or come enjoy a fresh salad.  It's all for a good cause!
