2008 Fundraiser Beneficiary Selected

At the October General Meeting, the Alec Kramer Medical Fund was selected as the beneficiary of the 2008 FOP Fundraiser, which is to be held Saturday, March 1st, 2008 at the Carranor Club in Perrysburg.

Alec Kramer is a 5th grader at Ft. Meigs Elementary who was recently diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer.  Alec has undergone surgery to remove the majority of the tumor and will continue to receive radiation and chemotherapy over the next year and a half to remove any residual tumor.

Alec is doing well but has a long road ahead of him.  Proceeds from this year's event will help to offset medical costs for Alec's treatment.

2006 Sweetheart Dance & Silent Auction Fund Raiser

The event was held at the Carranor Hunt and Polo Club on E. Second Street in Perrysburg on Saturday, February 11, 2006.  The event was a huge success!  Everyone enjoyed dressing up, bidding on auction items, and dancing the night away!  Thanks to everyone who attended, donated, and participated!

The membership voted on the recipient of this year's fundraising efforts.  Proceeds from the Sweetheart Dance and Silent Auction will be donated to Erin Puhl, a Perrysburg resident and high school student diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma.  Click here for Erin's story.   Total monies raised for the Erin Puhl Medical Fund will announced shortly.

Thank you to the fundraising committee for all of your hard work, without your help, we would not have been able to put together such a spectacular evening: Chris Cady, Eileen Riffer, Laura Barned, Marcia Buzzell, Sara Fulmer, Kerry Harris, and many others who procured auction items, helped set up, decorate, tear down, and/or worked the evening of the event.

We would also like to recognize our sponsors because their generous donations helped to underwrite the cost of the event.  Please remember to patronize these businesses: Rick Prokup of Sulphur Springs, Ron Welty of Intellishop, Dave Modene of Modene Insurance, Jill Perry of Wells Bowen, Gerri Walczak of ReMax, Jason Chan of McDonalds, Hickory Farms, Kumon Math and Reading Center, Stone Gate Villas/Jefferson Development, Rob Fox III of McDonald Investments, David Hamilton, and Pinnacle Eye Group.  We also would like to thank Carranor Hunt and Polo Club for hosting this event for us, our piano player Ghoo-youn Chi, DJ Steve Ashenfelter, and the Hi Tek Sign Shop in Whitehouse for the beautiful sign.  In addition, we would like to recognize many businesses and individuals who donated auction items and services!  Thank you to everyone!  Without all of you, we would not have been able to raise money for such a worthy cause!
