| Jack Fishbaugh
Jack is the son of Perrysburg graduates.
In July of 2008, just before his 8th birthday,
he was diagnosed with Childhood Non-Hodgkin,
Type B, Burkitt-like Lymphoma.
Jack does not currently reside in Perrysburg however was a member of Grace Church and all of his extended family members live in town.
Jack has had several surgeries, dialysis, and chemo.
In July 2008, Jack Fishbaugh was in Dell Children's Medical Center's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. He had been diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma which is a very aggressive form of cancer. They were advised that he was in stage II and began chemotherapy Saturday July 5, 2008 in his spine.
At that time, he had three drains in his chest and one in his abdomen. His blood was not coagulating an therefore he had to have multiple blood transfusions.Due to the ruptured bowel from the cancer he also battled an infection that turned into sepsis.
He is was in a medicinally induced coma, on dialisys and a ventilator. Jack had part of his colon removed.
Update - as of 1-9-09, mom says "he went back to school on Tues. Jan 6th"
"it's been so long since he has had the energy level of a healthy 8 year old boy, that I'm a little caught off guard by how active he is!
Today, for instance, he wants to playcatch in the yard with his baseball and glove that he's wearing in,play tennis after dinner,
and go for a bike ride.
WOW!!!! This is more like it :)
